The Effect of Color: A Jam-Packed Video Resource

Can you imagine what our world would look like without color? Color is one of the most important elements of art and my personal favorite to teach. I’m constantly searching for new ways to introduce color to my middle school students.

Recently, a colleague told me about an amazing video on color. The Effect of Color is a PBS video from the Off Book series. I love this video! It’s short, only 7 minutes 29 seconds, and it’s jammed packed with information about how color affects our daily lives. It is a must see video! I hope you enjoy it as much as my students and I did.

Isn’t that colorific?

How would you use this video with your students?
