Anna Boyd
Adjunct Instructor
Anna Halliwell Boyd is a mixed-media artist and arts educator from east Tennessee. She earned her MFA in Painting from Savannah College of Art and Design (2018), her Masters in Teacher Education from The University of Tennessee Knoxville (2013), and her BFA in 2D Studio Art from The University of Tennessee Knoxville (2008). Her recent works use various media to convey themes of loss and how the past is recollected. The photographs she took growing up are often resurrected in her work to convey lost connections with others and the distorted nature of memory.
Boyd has taught various art classes for over a decade, including seven years teaching for Tennessee public schools and the past three years in higher education. In addition to working for the Art of Education University, Boyd is currently an adjunct professor at The University of Tennessee Chattanooga, Pellissippi State Community College, Roane State Community College, and Walter State Community College.
