Sara Wilhoite-Mathews

Head of Library Services

Hello, everyone!

I am excited to join AOEU’s growing family as the Head of Library Services beginning in October 2022. I was attracted to AOEU because of its emphasis on art, education, and lifelong learning.

I have been a librarian and instructor at the collegiate level for over ten years (Saybrook University, Ivy Tech Community College, and Ball State University). I have published several journal articles and poems and presented at various conferences. My focus has been on helping people throughout the full research process, including such stages as developing a topic, finding effective sources, and completing the final product.

I have enjoyed creating learning materials in collaboration with faculty as well as assisting with individual research projects with students. I live in Indiana with my husband and two children. My hobbies include volunteering at a local food pantry, playing and coaching tennis, and spending time with family. I look forward to many new journeys with AOEU’s students, staff, and faculty.
