Allison AlterLearning Experience Designer
After sixteen years as a public high school art educator, I transitioned into my role with the AOEU Curriculum and Instruction Team to help bring meaningful and engaging graduate-level coursework to fellow art teachers. I’ve honed my curriculum design skills through classroom experience as a member of my district curriculum team and in my work as a curriculum writer for the Colorado Department of Education.
I am a strong believer in the value of art education in building one’s capacity for critical thinking and creative problem-solving. As a passionate advocate for the visual arts, my goal is to provide art teachers with dynamic learning opportunities and educational tools to fulfill their love of learning and energize their teaching practices.
When I’m not digging into art curricula, you’ll find me printmaking in my home studio, traveling the globe with my husband, or planning my next adventure in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado with our two rescue mutts.
