About the Author

Diana Baldensperger

Throughout my teaching career, I was always looking for new and relevant information I could apply in my classroom. Every time I sought out information, my search results included the Art of Education, now The Art of Education University. The content from the website always offered something new to challenge and motivate me or simplify classroom management. When I completed my dissertation, I wanted to continue to grow as a professional while sharing the knowledge I possess. The job posting for a summer visiting instructor was just what I was looking for, and I have now been with The Art of Education University for over five years. I continue to learn with and through this institution, both personally and professionally, and I love connecting with students in a global classroom.

In my time away from the online environment, I am a pre-K–5 public school visual arts educator in a suburb of the Detroit Metropolitan area. I have two awesome children who are now pursuing their career paths. My son serves in the United States Marine Corps, and my daughter is pursuing a career in psychology. I enjoy drawing, painting, running, yoga, and playing with our cat and two dogs.
