About the Author

Emily Pietruszynski

I initially heard about AOEU through a post by Jeff Patterson on LinkedIn. After learning about the mission, feeling the positive culture, and meeting the team, I was hooked.

I initially started my career as a school counselor. After four years in public schools, I decided to transition into EdTech sales. Although I am no longer in a traditional educational role, I am using my talents to push for a curriculum that I believe is essential in schools. I have always had a passion for education and advocating for all voices to be heard.

In my personal time, you can find me somewhere outdoors: mountains, beaches, rivers, and lakes. I particularly love hiking and skiing. My friends and family are the most important to me, so combining the outdoors and time with loved ones is my happy place. I also enjoy traveling and learning about new cultures. I have lived in two other countries and six different cities within the United States. Pre-Covid, I had been to 27 countries and counting…getting back out there after the world begins to open back up.
