About the Author

Hey there, I’m Jake, a copywriter and member of the creative team here at AOEU. I’ve been in the communications sphere for over a decade and have worked with a range of clients thanks to freelance. From IoT technology to Dungeons & Dragons leather-bound accessories, there’s real joy in helping people tell their stories and finding the right voice to reach their audiences.

AOEU is my first professional step in the world of education, but some very special art teachers have left lifelong impressions. My brother, who has autism, has benefited from truly amazing individuals who have gone above and beyond to connect with him and my family. It’s an honor to serve these kinds of educators and push forward the spectrum of education that AOEU offers.

I live in beautiful northern Utah and enjoy exploring the best of the Wasatch. And as a nerd at

heart, you can find me shuffling Magic: The Gathering cards, stumbling through ever-expanding D&D campaigns, and desperately trying to survive in Dark Souls.
