About the Author

Kristin Smith

Hi! I’m Kristin Smith. I’ve been an arts educator for over twenty years, and have worked in schools, museums, and community non-profits. I have a BFA in Metalsmithing and Art History from Colorado State University, and I earned my Master of Arts with Teacher Certification from Teachers College, Columbia University. I currently live in North Carolina where I am a museum educator at the North Carolina Museum of Art. I also lead professional development programs for schools across the state through the A+ Schools Network. When I’m not working with teachers, you can find me in my studio painting or drawing or somewhere in the wilderness camping with friends and family.
