About the Author

Laura Kruis

Hey there, my name is Laura Kruis, and due to having not figured out what I want to be when I grow up, I’ve had the great fortune of playing many varied roles ranging from a logistics specialist on a navy base to a counseling fellow at an experiential education high school to a personal trainer and health coach.

That all said, my first love is words. They have the power to create worlds, alter moods, influence minds, motivate spirits, and inspire action.

I attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa for two years dabbling in English, art, and philosophy until I finally graduated from Penn State with an English degree.

In my free time, you’ll find me reading, lifting, traveling, or watching movies with my husband, Nate, and little wiener dog, Watson.

I am grateful and excited to have the opportunity to collaborate with a team that’s so transparently passionate about art and education while getting to rediscover my own first love!
