About the Author

Rachel Althof

Hey, all!

Here’s the short of it: I believe creative development is an essential component of human development, and we need amazing art teachers to do this. I love my work with AOEU as I get to work with brilliantly creative people as they develop their professional chops to develop more brilliantly creative people.

In my free time, I love staying active with family and friends on all kinds of adventures. You might find me on the ski slopes, the soccer pitch, or even a river in a kayak. I also love cooking and photography.

Professional Accomplishments:

15+ years experience in teaching and leadership positions

Doctor of Education, Teachers College, Columbia University (2015)

Master of Arts, Ohio State University (2004)

Bachelor of Art Education with distinction, Ohio State University (2002)
