Description
Students will explore ways technology can create new art forms by creating artwork using the techniques of glitching (computer-based or scanning) to represent the fragmentation of today’s culture/society.

Students will learn how to use a scanner and/or glitching software to create artwork.
Students will reflect on how technology can impact imagery in the contemporary world.
Teaching Strategies
- Introduce the idea of glitching and show how it is used in contemporary art.
- Demonstrate how to use a scanner and/or glitching software to create new images
- Support the students in the creation of their imagery.
- Instruct students on how to write an artist statement.
