Students will examine an artist from history. Students will utilize a web browser and digital drawing app to research the artist and learn basic graphic design skills to create a poster. Students will display the research and share it with peers.

Students will choose an artist and use a web browser to complete research on the selected artist.
Students will experiment with a variety of basic graphic design tools in Google Draw to layout their designs.
Provide a list of appropriate artists to research and a digital template for a poster.

Guide students in presenting and displaying research posters virtually or in person.

Introduction and Research
Discuss digital citizenship expectations.
Select an artist to research.
Open digital drawing template created by the teacher and click on “Tools” then “Explore” to begin research.
Type the name of the selected artist.
