Description

Students will learn about the different types of artist books such as accordion, pamphlet style, and book in a box. Students will reflect on a pivotal personal memory. Students will design and create a book in a box that is a memento or “time capsule” of their specific moment.

  • Found objects and Air-dry clay (optional)

Analyze Artwork and Inspiration

As a large group, discuss and analyze examples of books that have been made into artworks. Distinguish between the important and less important details of the book. Identify the characteristics that contribute to the mood and ideas conveyed in the books.
