Description

Students will analyze the work of artists who create communal tableware and experiment with pinch pot and finishing techniques as they design their own communal tableware. They will create a rubric of criteria for a revision process and present their work in a final critique.

  • Ceramic paddle & 1" x 2" wooden boards
  • Access to a woodshop or large wooden spoons/spatulas
  • Assorted clay tools, clay ribs, & scoring tool
  • Slip & water bowl
  • Newspaper
  • Wax resist
