From Virtual to Concrete
Students will explore two different virtual art museums, comparing the content and visitor experience. They will collaboratively create an exhibition brochure created with cardstock and colored pencils.
Students will explore two digital art museums while comparing and contrasting the viewer experience at both venues.
Students will collaboratively select an exhibit theme and individually select artwork within that theme.
Students will brainstorm how a gallery experience may change how artwork is presented and experienced.
Provide links for several digital art museums that could be explored.
Demonstrate how to compare and contrast digital art museums.
Facilitate a class discussion focusing on how a gallery experience may change how artwork is presented and viewed.
Demonstrate strategies for creating an exhibit brochure using colored pencils, printed text, and a chosen theme.
