Description

Students will plan out and create a glazed ceramic sculpture of a room as they further their understanding of ceramic methods. They will consider potential design challenges as they design the details of their piece.

Students will develop a plan for the shape and details of their miniature ceramic room.

Students will demonstrate an understanding of ceramic methods by attaching pieces and adding texture and details.

Students will include elements of present-day life after discussing potential details for their rooms designs.

  • Demonstrate ceramics methods such as the slip and score method and glazing.
  • Guide students in planning their room blueprints.
  • Facilitate a discussion on the elements and potential details of a room.
