Description
Students will create a likeness of their favorite toy using a variety of paper quilling techniques. Students will participate in a critique with their classmates, utilizing a set of criteria they developed.

Students will sketch a variety of contour line drawings of personally meaningful objects.
Students will select a personally meaningful subject and consider how to represent it accurately.
Students will practice and invent different techniques of paper quilling prior to starting their final project.

- Guide students in a peer discussion that demonstrates a growth mindset.
- Help students determine a set of criteria to evaluate.

Brainstorming

Consider which toy inspires the strongest personal meaning.
