Students will print their own castle image using the edges of cardboard pieces. Students will utilize vertical, horizontal, and diagonal lines in their artwork. Tempera cake paint will be added as an additional medium.

Demonstrate how to print the three types of lines using cardboard. (This process is dipping the edge of the cardboard into paint and then printing with a straight up and down motion one or two times onto the paper and repeating).
Show the process of using tempera cakes.
Explain parts of a medieval castles.

Discuss vertical, horizontal, and diagonal lines.
Practice creating different types of lines.
Use the edge of the cardboard piece to print a horizontal line across the page as this will become the base of the castle.
