Printed Line Castles
Students will print their own castle image using the edges of cardboard pieces. Students will utilize vertical, horizontal, and diagonal lines in their artwork. Tempera cake paint will be added as an additional medium.
Students will identify vertical, horizontal, and diagonal lines.
Students will explore the process of printmaking through the printing of simple lines.
Students will organize their design to create an interesting composition.

Demonstrate how to print the three types of lines using cardboard. (This process is dipping the edge of the cardboard into paint and then printing with a straight up and down motion one or two times onto the paper and repeating).
