Recycle and Refill: Reusable Books

Lesson Plan

Description

Inspired by artist, Louise Nevelson, students will construct a refillable accordion book featuring a collaged cover. The covers will have built-in pockets, so students will be able to re-use this book as a sketchbook or presentation structure.

  • 8 ¼” x 4 ½” decorative paper
  • 6 ⅛” x 4 ½” construction paper (optional back cover)
  • Glue sticks and Tacky glue
  • Recycled objects
  • Tempera paint and brushes
  • Spray paint (optional)
  • 6” x 18” paper
