Description

Students will discuss the effect of changing visual elements in an existing artwork using Kehinde Wiley’s triptychs as inspiration. Students will select one personal artwork and make two different changes, resulting in a triptych highlighting the transformations.

Students will view Kehinde Wiley’s triptychs and consider the meaning conveyed by displaying three paintings together.

Students will discuss turning a single Wiley painting into a triptych through Inner/Outer Circle discussion.

Students will review portfolios and select one artwork to revise by changing one element inspired by the discussion.
