Students will create a stencil of an inspiring and uplifting word or phrase to influence their community when sprayed on the sidewalk with spray chalk. They will analyze and discuss how the artwork influences the ideas, feelings, and behaviors of the viewer.
Participate in a group discussion about graffiti as an art and contemporary graffiti artists.
Select a word or phrase that represents a community, problem/solution in the world, or personal connection.
Create meaning in the graffiti that is designed.
