Description

Students will use their imaginations to create a warm fuzzy character and learn basic felting techniques by forming an embellished felted sphere. They will use their warm fuzzy creations as a springboard to encourage acts of kindness.

Students will learn how to safely utilize and care for needle felting tools and materials.

Explain what a warm fuzzy is to the students. A warm fuzzy is a good, pleasant, or friendly feeling.
Read The Original Warm Fuzzy Tale by Claude Steiner.
Demonstrate how to work with needle felting tools and supplies safely.
Show how to needle felt a sphere form and embellish it into an expressive character.
