Gridding is a great way for students to build their perceptive skills, but gridding exercises can often be boring. Plus, students can get frustrated when the goal is to create a photorealistic drawing. So, why not give this Frankenstein drawing a try? Students get a kick out of creating these mashed-up face collages, motivating them for the next, more challenging step. Although this lesson suggests using chalk or oil pastels, this project could easily be done with any drawing medium or even with paint!
