This lesson is a hit with students because they are able to use a somewhat ‘forbidden’ material – wire! Using a student-grade colored wire, like Twisteez Wire, is an excellent choice to introduce the material to young children. The final collaborative design means you don’t need much of the wire to create something spectacular!
I was inspired by the different shapes you can make with the wire by browsing this handout that came in my pack of Twisteez wire.
They even sell Mask Kits and Coil Bracelet Kits. These would be perfect for an after-school club or as gifts to your art students.
If you want to try this material out for yourself, there will be a sample pack in each of the AOE Summer 2015 Conference SWAG boxes, which are sent out to the first 1500 participants! Learn more about it right here!
