My students find the puffy shaving cream paint used in this lesson magical. It’s easy to make and fun to use. Plus, this lesson is a great connection to art history for your youngest students. These make a fantastic hallway display. Just be sure to put up a “No Touching” sign! We’ve featured Thiebaud-inspired lessons before on AOE. If  you’re looking for something for your older students, check out Jessica’s oil pastel and clay Theibaud-inspired lessons!

This great Art Ed lesson plan is 100% FREE to download! Use it in your classroom and share with your colleagues. For more free lessons like this one, visit our Lessons Page and download them all!

    Hi Jessica-
I couldn’t get this lesson with large enough print to read when I downloaded it.
I clicked on “Click to download free lesson plan” but it stayed too small.
Can you redo this? I love this lesson!

    • Hi Merry,

It seems to be working. When you click in the middle of the image, it should take you to a new screen with a PDF version of the lesson. If it’s still not working, let us know and we’ll email you a copy!

I am having the same problem- I click the down load button and it just shows the small one inbeded in the web page. Then if I click the view button it does show the pdf but does not offer a down load option there. I am new to your site and need do my lesson plans for the year this week. Please assist.

    • Hi Michelle, If you can get to the large PDF in your browser, you can click, “File” and then “Save As” to save it to your computer. Hope that helps!
