PRO Pack Materials

What do Packs cover?

PRO Learning is the only on-demand professional development platform designed specifically for K-12 art teachers. PRO Packs are where learning takes place: dive into everything from art mediums to art history to classroom management. Explore new topics or dig into familiar territory to gain a deeper understanding. Packs provide strategies to advance your career and teaching practice to the next level.

What is in each Pack?

Each PRO Pack includes exclusive video tutorials, comprehensive downloadable resources, and helpful supplemental links. Watch the videos, download the resources, and review the content when it fits your schedule. After finishing a Pack, download an official certificate of completion for your records. Talk to your administrator about how PRO can support your professional development plan.

Who facilitates the Packs?

PRO Pack facilitators are expert licensed art teachers from around the country. Each facilitator brings years of experience as well as tried and true examples, methods, and strategies from their own classroom experience.

How are PD hours determined?

PRO Packs are worth between 1-4 PD hours. Hours are calculated based on a combination of four factors: the time it takes to watch the video footage, review the resources, dig into the supplemental linked content, and incorporate the new learning into your teaching practice. You can check each Pack’s PD hours to determine the time commitment.

What percentage of Packs are geared toward high school teachers? middle school teachers? elementary teachers?

Although some Packs are more appropriate for specific grade levels and abilities, many are adaptable for all levels. You can explore Packs that align with the level you teach by using the built-in filters to narrow your search.

How often are new Packs added?

New Packs are added to PRO every month. We notify PRO members about new additions via email.

Is the content in the PRO Library exclusive to PRO members?

Yes, almost everything in the PRO Library is exclusive to PRO members. It consists of predominantly new and exclusive content not found anywhere else.

Can I download and print the resources?

Yes, we hope you do! Each Pack has a handy “Download All” button that allows you to download all of the resources so you can immediately use them in your classroom. You can also preview each resource as you watch the videos and download them individually.

 

Earning PD Hours with PRO

How do I earn a PRO Learning certificate of completion?

PRO helps you track your learning by automatically awarding an official certificate of completion that you can turn into your administrator. You can unlock a certificate of completion by completing a short quiz. Certificates of completion are available to download immediately. Should you need to access or print your certificate of completion in the future, you can do so from the PRO section of your account page.

Where do I find my certificates of completion?

You can always access your certificates of completion in the PRO section of your account page. This is true even if you decide to cancel your PRO membership.

How do I know if my state or district will accept these hours for CEUs or continuing education?

If your school or state accepts contact hours (documented on the certificate of completion with your name) as a method of professional development, PRO should work for you. However, we always advise that you check with your district or state to be sure. You can also use our state map to see how AOEU aligns with professional development standards. 

Can I earn graduate credit by subscribing to PRO Learning?

No. If you need graduate credits, we highly recommend taking an AOEU online graduate course.

 

Billing Information / Canceling My Subscription

What happens to my certificates of completion if I cancel my PRO subscription?

You can cancel your PRO subscription at any time from your account page. Once canceled, you will no longer have access to PRO. However, you will retain all certificates of completion earned during your subscription. To access your certificates of completion while subscribed or after you’ve canceled, simply go to your account page, click Records, and then click Learning Packs.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. PRO works best as an ongoing subscription, but you are free to subscribe and unsubscribe at any time.

When will you charge my credit card?

Upon purchase, we will immediately bill your credit card for one month or one year, depending on your selection of monthly or annual billing.

If you select monthly billing, we will bill your credit card on the same day each month until you cancel your subscription or your credit card expires.

If you select annual billing, we will bill your credit card on the same day each year until you cancel your subscription or your credit card expires.

How do I stop the automatic billing on my credit card?

To stop automatic billing on your credit card, you can do one of three things:

 

  1. Cancel your subscription.
    You can cancel at any time through your account page. Billing will cease immediately upon cancellation.
  2. Change your billing preferences to a different credit card.
    We will stop billing your current card, and future billing will occur on your new card.
  3. Switch to purchase order payments.
    We accept purchase orders from districts. To pay with a purchase order, you will need to select the annual billing option. All purchase order billing is done annually, and your district’s payment is due one month from the initiation of the subscription.

 

 

What if my credit card expires?

If your credit card expires, we will send you an email requesting an update to your credit card information. If you do not update your credit card information within one week of notification, you will lose access to PRO until your card is updated and your subscription is reinitiated.

Do I get a discount for purchasing annually?

Yes! An annual subscription is the most cost-effective way to enjoy PRO. You receive two months for free when you subscribe at the annual rate. That’s 12 months for the price of 10!

What if I already have an account with AOEU and my school purchases PRO?

If your school purchases a PRO subscription for you after you’ve already purchased one for yourself, please contact our customer engagement team: help@theartofeducation.edu. We’ll assist with the transition.

 

PRO for Districts

What is PRO for districts?

PRO Learning is the only on-demand professional development subscription designed specifically for K-12 art teachers. PRO for districts is the optimal way for teams, schools, districts, and institutions of higher learning to implement PRO. Contact us at help@theartofeducation.edu or via chat to learn more.

 

Teacher Questions

What if I have a PRO subscription with one school but change to another school or district?

If your school administrator rescinds your access to PRO, you will immediately lose access to PRO. However, you will retain 100% of the certificates of completion earned and progress made in each Pack you’ve started. At that time, you will be able to subscribe to PRO using your own funds, or your new school/district can purchase PRO for you. Once you have resubscribed, you’ll regain full access. Teacher accounts can only be associated with one school at a time.

What if I already have an account with AOEU and my school purchases PRO?

If your school purchases a PRO subscription for you after you’ve already purchased one for yourself, please contact our customer engagement team: help@theartofeducation.edu. We’ll assist with the transition.

 

Administrator Questions

How do I add teachers (keys) to my PRO subscription?

Adding teachers to your PRO subscription is easy and can be done at any time. Simply contact our school success team at 641.351.7148, and we will quickly take care of the changes for you.

We will send your teachers a welcome email explaining how to use PRO so they can get started with ease.

How do I remove teachers (keys) from my PRO subscription?

Removing teachers from your PRO subscription is easy. Simply contact our school success team at 641.351.7148, and we will quickly take care of the changes for you.

Once a teacher’s access has been revoked, they will no longer have access to the PRO Library. However, they will retain all certificates of completion earned during their subscription.

 

Technical Issues

I can’t get a video to play. What should I do?

If you’re experiencing technical difficulties, it’s likely due to an issue with your specific computer or school’s firewall. If you’re at home, try a different browser or computer. If you’re at school, talk to your network administrator. If the issue remains unresolved, you can send an email to help@theartofeducation.edu or contact us via chat.
