Intentional Curriculum Design

Learn best practices for time-saving curriculum design using lessons of your choice.

“An hour of planning can save you ten hours of doing.” (Carnegie, n.d.)

In this course, learn to apply a strategic and tactical approach to curriculum planning, beginning with the end in mind. You will intentionally curate national, state, and district standards to create a foundational framework unique to your needs. Implement formative and summative assessment metrics and scaffolding processes to facilitate academic achievement for all learners with built-in checks for understanding. You will leave this course with an original curriculum map ready for implementation and practical curriculum design skills to support future curriculum endeavors.

Note: Credits earned cannot be applied to the Master of Arts in Art Education degree program requirements.
