Theresa Haugen, Ph.D.
Associate Professor & Research Specialist
When I began teaching at the high school level, the district art professional development specialist forwarded emails from The Art of Education University. When I saw an opening for adjunct instructors, I jumped at the opportunity to apply. I am currently an Associate Professor and Research Specialist. In addition, I serve on the Curriculum Committee and have presented at the AOEU NOW conference (Literacy Collaboratives, February 2021, Branding: From Concept to Logo Design, July 2020).
In addition to working and teaching at the Art of Education University, I am a freelance photographer and serve on the Board of Directors for the Lowe Syndrome Association providing branding and marketing. My passion is inclusion for all persons, including those living with disabilities, a theme that is highlighted in my blog, “All In.” I am married, have two sons, and live in Blaine, Minnesota. When I am not teaching, I enjoy design, photography, calligraphy, multi-media art, reading, walking, writing, and spending time with family and friends.
