Jennifer Wenz, Ed.D.

Adjunct Instructor

I am a passionate educator, designer, and nonprofit leader dedicated to integrating technology and creativity into art education. I first discovered AOEU through my commitment to advancing art instruction, always seeking innovative ways to bridge traditional design with emerging technologies.

Currently, I teach high school art, where I incorporate software like Procreate and Inkscape to expand students’ access to design programs. I also integrate Oculus technology into my graphic design courses, allowing students to experience and refine their work in virtual reality.

Beyond the classroom, I am a graphic designer and an Adobe Certified Professional. I earned my Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Liberty University and am currently pursuing a Doctorate in Education Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana University.

I am also the founder of a successful nonprofit organization that raises over $100,000 annually to support families at Target House. Through this foundation, I provide meals, toys, and pantry supplies, fulfilling Target House’s needs and making a meaningful impact in honor of AK, my amazing 2-year-old little girl, I lost to brain cancer.

My dedication to education and design extends to research and professional development. I have served on research teams exploring the intersection of design and virtual reality, and I actively participate in curriculum innovation. I am passionate about empowering students and artists to explore new creative possibilities, bringing their ideas to life in meaningful ways.
