Team & Culture Manager

Hello!  My name is Joleen Buttjer and I am AOEU’s Team & Culture Manager. I have the extraordinary pleasure to connect with all new hires and welcoming them to AOEU. After their initial onboarding, our department continues to support team members in all aspects of their career with us.

I have a diverse background ranging from positions as a middle school teacher, a collegiate education coordinator, and an assistant to the superintendent and human resource specialist in public schools. I have held multiple positions here at AOEU, ranging from Customer Engagement and Student Services to the institution’s Registrar, to my current position. Each role throughout my career has specifically centered on supporting people. This is paramount to who I am as an individual and professional.

Outside of work, I cherish making memories with my husband Ben, our two sons, Jarett and Jayden, and our daughter, Jenna. Other hobbies and interests include reading, planning and organizing, taking unplanned road trips to unknown destinations, kayaking, and spending time with our extended family.
