Juana Meneses, MFA

Adjunct Instructor

Hello! My name is Juana Meneses. I am an artist-educator. I learned about AOEU from a colleague who knew about my passion for teaching higher education and my love of art education. She recommended that I apply to teach. After looking at the resources and the courses offered, I knew this was an institution that I wanted to be a part of.

I co-led a prestigious high school art magnet program in Miami, Florida, and received several grants to pursue my artistic practice, emphasizing public participation and making artists’ books. I bring my passion and knowledge of the creative process to all of the courses that I teach.

I like to travel, hike, and explore remote destinations with my husband and daughter in my downtime. I always have my watercolors, sketchbook, and brushes with me!

I come to AOEU with 15 years of experience teaching in museums, K–12, and higher education while also maintaining my artistic practice.
