When I first read about the Marketing Manager role at AOEU I honestly thought it was too good to be true. “There is really an opportunity to work with an organization dedicated to nurturing and empowering art teachers at every stage of their career? It’s my dream job, sign me up!”

I owe where I am today to an art teacher myself. My journey into the world of art began in first grade when I drew a dolphin, a core memory moment. Mrs. Catalan, my first-grade art teacher, was so taken by my drawing that she proudly displayed it on her desk.

Her encouragement marked the genesis of my passion for creativity and led me to compete internationally in acrylics and photography and obtain a degree in communications and studio art.

Beyond my professional life, I find joy in the pages of a good book, embarking on adventures with my family (camping being our favorite), and planning the next season’s garden. I’m excited about the opportunity to connect with you and make a meaningful contribution to the vibrant art education community here at AOEU.
