About the Author

Julie Strecker

Julie found the Art of Education in her search for a position in accreditation and compliance. She was extremely excited by the mission and vision of AOEU and the support that they give to working teachers. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve as the Director of Compliance and inspire AOEU’s faculty and staff to be leaders in the best practices of education.

Julie brings to AOEU over twenty years of experience, both in the classroom and as an administrator. She earned her PhD in Educational Leadership and has eight years of experience leading a multi-divisional department in a private comprehensive research university. In this role, she led a language department to achieve programmatic accreditation from an accrediting body certified by the United States Department of Education.

Through her experience teaching English as a second language, Julie had the opportunity to exercise her creative spirit in the classroom, and she understands that flexibility, support, and creative thinking in a teacher’s professional space is at least equally, if not more important, as data collection and evidence-based communication of successes. Julie loves the challenge of finding solutions that meet the needs of

teachers, administrators, and most importantly, students.
