When I started out as an art teacher, I felt so alone. I was the only art teacher in my building, and I had no one to talk shop with. Finding my people was one of the things that helped sustain my practice, maintain my mental health, and keep my teaching fresh in the classroom.
Today, we have the Art of Education Community, where we can connect with like-minded professionals and share ideas, successes, and frustrations. You can ask and give advice to your friends and make connections with other art teachers from all over without the distractions of traditional social media.
