Make Quick Clay Slabs Using Only Your Hands

There are two things in the art room I always try to avoid: kids wasting time and overwhelming kids with tools and supplies. This method of throwing slabs helps me with both because kids aren’t waiting around for the slab roller and they aren’t messing with rolling pins, sticks, or taped-together rulers. Throwing slabs takes a little bit of practice and a little bit of patience, but it’s easily the most efficient way for a class full of kids to create slabs.
