About the Author

Timothy Bogatz

My name is Tim Bogatz, and I’m the Content and Events Director at AOEU. I first found out about the Art of Education when I met Jessica and Derek Balsley at a joint Nebraska/Iowa Art Educators conference in 2013. About a year later, I started writing for the magazine and haven’t looked back. I joined AOEU full-time in 2016, and I have loved every minute of it. I have worked in a various roles, but I currently help plan and develop NOW Conferences, other live events, and all of the parts of our podcast network. When I’m not making podcasts or putting on events, you can probably find me creating art, running, reading, and petting all of the dogs I can find.

Professional Accomplishments:

  • Master of Science in Secondary Education (2007)
  • Bachelor of Arts in Art Education and Studio Art (2002)
