Art museums offer vibrant learning environments where students can experience original works of art, explore diverse cultures, and develop the creative and critical thinking skills essential to artistic growth. This course helps participants bring the richness of museum learning into their teaching through both in-person visits and virtual access. Participants will explore how museum spaces, exhibitions, and teaching materials shape understanding, and they will practice guiding students through inquiry that strengthens interpretation, imagination, and empathy. They will create a practical plan that uses museum learning to enrich studio practice and expand students’ connections to art, themselves, and the world.
