Tuition reimbursement
You pay for a course up front, complete it, and your district pays you back for all or part of the cost. Most programs cap the amount per credit, per year, or both, and most require you to earn a minimum grade.
Salary advancement
Your district moves you to a higher salary lane once you’ve earned a set number of graduate credits. Unlike reimbursement, this isn’t a one-time payment — it raises your base salary, and it compounds every year for the rest of your career.
