A Simpler Way to Create a Drawing Grid

In my opinion, grids can be a part of a beneficial skill set. In my classroom, grids help kids with proportion and accuracy, teach them about composition, and help empower them by building their confidence and skills. However, if you’ve ever taught using a grid, you know it can be difficult to make grid drawing easy for students. Projects become time consuming due to the tediousness of the process, and students can get frustrated with the rulers.

In this video, I’ll show you how to simplify the process. You sacrifice a little bit of accuracy, but you gain so much time. Plus, this method is easier for kids to understand and works as a great tool for those who struggle with the process. Check it out and let me know what you think!
