About the Author

Lindsey McGinnis

Hi, I’m Lindsey! As the Media Content Manager at AOEU,  I am passionate about serving fellow art teachers to be successful in their classrooms, which will equip students with a love and appreciation for art.

Before this position, I taught high school art, wrote countywide curriculum, and mentored new art teachers in Maryland’s urban public school system for thirteen years. I loved interacting with my students and having authentic discussions with them each day. I firmly believe that art is a safe place for students to explore and process the challenging topics and concepts around them.

When not immersed in art education, I apply my art knowledge and social media skills to my home renovation projects featured on my YouTube channel. I enjoy all forms of making and creating, but baking, gardening, or working on one of my many dollhouses brings me the most joy! I also spend a lot of time with my family and am very involved in my church.

I am grateful to be a part of the AOEU team, and I look forward to growing with you!
