Jennifer Hartman

Hello, I am Dr. Jennifer Hartman, and I am thrilled to be a team member at AOEU.

I first learned about AOEU as a classroom teacher looking for practical resources to use with my students. Now, as a part of the FLEX Curriculum team, I am honored to be a part of producing those resources for teachers!

I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and digital media from the University of Colorado and my master’s and doctoral degrees in art education from the University of North Texas.

I am certified in both visual arts and special education, and I have 18 years of experience in education, including teaching art in public schools at the elementary and secondary levels, teaching art education courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, art education research, and curriculum writing and standards alignment.

In my free time, I enjoy painting and working with textiles and mixed media. I am passionate about art education, curriculum, and helping teachers reach their professional goals.
