Digital Illustration and Visual Storytelling

Develop 21st-century design skills and explore digital illustration media as you capture themes from your favorite pieces of literature throughout this three-week introductory course.

Explore an introduction to the exciting field of digital illustration, combining conceptual thinking with artistic creation and literature to convey ideas through visual narratives. Learn how to use visual literacy practices and introductory digital illustration tools and processes to create digital illustrations that capture themes and concepts from your favorite piece of literature. This three-week course will present opportunities to practice fundamental 21st-century design skills needed for digital illustration through exploring digital mediums, basic design planning processes, and intentionality when visually representing your ideas.
