Our employees are our most valuable asset, which is why we take pride in the benefits we offer. The following is a summary of the benefits provided to full-time team members.
We believe in honoring the whole person and embracing an adult culture. When you work hard and meet deadlines, shouldn’t you also be trusted to manage your time off on your terms? We sure think so! Life is busy, and we recognize that—so take time as you need it.
All full-time team members are eligible for up to 100% of their health, dental, and vision premiums paid in full, as well as up to 80% of their premiums for family coverage. Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield is a nationally recognized carrier providing health and dental coverage; United Healthcare provides vision coverage.
We all have those days—whether it’s a rough start, an extended lunch, or an early-afternoon game or gathering, we all need a flexible schedule at times. Just give a heads-up to your team members, update your Slack status, and do what you need to do. Many of our team members work early mornings, evenings, or weekends so their schedule meets the evolving needs of their lives.
As an AOEU team member, you have the opportunity to work remotely—from home, a coffee shop, or wherever you may find a solid internet connection. New team members are also eligible for a one-time $600 stipend to optimize their workspace at home and a monthly stipend towards cell phone, internet, or a coworking space.
Each full-time team member is provided with a MacBook Pro®, a monitor, a keyboard and mouse, and a docking station. You will have everything you need to hit the ground running!
Once you’re ready to dive into work, you’ll be introduced to a software suite that will fully support you in your role.
All team members are eligible to participate in graduate courses—up to 9 credits per year. Each team member also gets access to FLEX Curriculum and PRO Learning, which they can use themselves or give to an art teacher in their life.
Let the celebrations begin! At AOEU, team members enjoy paid time off for 13 holidays as well as a paid holiday closure in December.
Planning for your future is a continuous process. Unlike many businesses that require you to work for an entire year before becoming eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan, you’re eligible to participate in AOEU’s plan at the time of hire. Our plan matches up to 4% of your contribution!
Part of being the best means challenging yourself with new ideas and experiences. If you find a learning opportunity that you believe will benefit you and your professional work at AOEU, simply submit a request. We encourage our team to grow themselves and share their insights with the rest of the team.
At some point, we’ve all found ourselves working hard on a project and left receiving little to no recognition. Not here! All team members who go above and beyond are eligible for a little surprise to let them know, “Hey—we see you, and you’re rocking it!”
Every new hire who completes the onboarding program will be treated to their first surprise and delight!
Once a year, the entire AOEU team comes together for an awards ceremony. Peers nominate those within the institution who best represent each of AOEU’s nine pillars, plus one outstanding individual who is named “Team Member of the Year.” (Custom emojis may be created to honor team members, too.)
In support of our Whole Person pillar, full-time team members are eligible for eight weeks of paid parental leave. After eight weeks, an additional unpaid four weeks off is available for a total of 12 weeks.
Radical respect and a deep appreciation of each other and the challenging work we do are defining features of working at AOEU. We believe in creating a collaborative community that solves problems in order to uphold our mission.
